Battlefords RCMP responded to an apartment building fire in North Battleford.
Police said on January 3 at approximately 1:25 a.m. Battlefords RCMP were dispatched to a fire at an apartment building in the 1400 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford.

“Upon their arrival, the officers discovered that the building was completely ravaged by fire. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services, other area fire departments and local EMS have also responded, ”police said. “Residents evacuated the building and a number of them were taken to hospital with injuries. We have no updates on their terms.
Police said Battlefords RCMP are currently working to confirm the safety of all residents of the building. The police are asking those who live in this complex and have not yet spoken to the police to call 310-GRC.

Police said further details are not yet available as this is an ongoing investigation. Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency fire investigators will now assist.
The police report from the initial investigation suggests that this fire may be suspicious in nature. Police are asking if anyone has any information about this incident to immediately call 310-GRC.
