The driver has been identified as Trayvis Thurman who is charged with speeding, reckless driving, flight/escape from police and obstruction and DUI (less safe). Two men are in custody after leading Atlanta police on a high-speed chase that ended up in an apartment complex.

The Atlanta Police Department shared video of the chase, which they say took place on February 11.

Authorities said police were conducting traffic control on I-285 south at the Buford Freeway entrance to I-85 when they spotted a Mercedes going over 90 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The suspects sped over 100 miles per hour to outrun police, but were tracked by the Atlanta Police Air Unit and assisted by the Georgia State Patrol.

The video above shows the police eventually catching up with the suspects before the driver and passenger abandon the vehicle, jump a fence, and flee into an apartment complex.

Police were quick to follow and, with the assistance of the Air Unit, located the two suspects as well as a weapon abandoned during the pursuit.

The driver was identified as Trayvis Thurman, charged with speeding, reckless driving, flight/escape from police and obstruction and DUI (less safe). The suspect was transported to the Fulton County jail and his vehicle was seized.

The identity of the passenger has not been revealed.
