WOODBRIDGE — The final phase of The Grande’s development at Metropark kicked off last week with a ceremony marking the midpoint of construction on the final building of the 356-unit luxury residential apartment complex in the Iselin section.

Mayor John E. McCormac and the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency were joined on June 29 by The Grande at the Metro Park Development Group for the groundbreaking ceremony marking the halfway point of construction of the Building 4 complexes which will house 124 units.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Grande at Metropark as an exceptional member of Woodbridge Township’s luxury apartment community,” said McCormac. August 18, 2017. It is important to note that The Grande at Metropark Development Group considered many location options to locate their central New Jersey residential community and ultimately located at the former site of Ronson in Woodbridge Township.

McCormac was joined during the final phase of construction by Charles Avery, general manager of The Grande at Metropark; Irwin Nudelman, construction manager of The Grande at Metropark; Kurt Vierheilig, design director at DMR Architects; Caroline Ehrlich, executive director of the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency; Marta Lefsky, Woodbridge Director of Woodbridge’s Planning and Development Department; Heather Lamotta, Deputy Director of the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency and Sharon McAuliffe, Councilor for Woodbridge First Ward.

The Grande at Metropark is a four-building luxury residential apartment complex located near Metro Park Station. Each building has amenities including covered parking; package delivery lockers and storage units for rent, according to Avery.

The buildings also have an interior rooftop courtyard with an outdoor movie theater; a two-storey pavilion; Fitness Center; Music Chamber; playground and children’s play area; pet wash stations; bike storage; coffee lounge; conference and meeting rooms and a business center, he added.

Other on-site amenities include a barbecue, patio and pergola, pet parks, community monitoring system, playground, and electric car charging station. The project includes more than 12,000 square feet of retail space providing tenants and buyers with premium markets, lounges and services, according to Avery.
